Very honest of you ,did you show her the shot and if so what was her reaction? This is one of those shots that has so much wrong with it ,that it is charming.Focus is off, depth of field is dizzying,lighting though done is almost shameful, Cut and crop are crap but still .It makes you smile, It makes me smile.That,s what this shot makes me feel That you were ashamed of taking it.Nasty little conscience release that Photographer .Thank you Sir your portfolio is breath taking ,If you read this I will count myself honored

Consider yourself honored.. I read your comment. Everything you complained about, the focus, the depth of field, the lighting, the crop all were very deliberate. I have been doing this long enough that I don't have that many accidents, and if it turned out poorly I wouldn't share it with the public. This particular image is one of my all time favorites. For all of the reasons you complained about, they turned out perfectly for me:)

I agree with you here... to me if it were just a "snatch shot" it wouldn't be anywhere near as exciting as it is. It screams out (in the silliest of childrens' nanny-nanny-boo-boo voices) "you can't have this!" and that is exactly what make you want it more. You stare harder and harder and adjust your eyes to try and get rid of the blur, but no matter how hard you try, "you can't have this!" and it drive you mad! It is like an treasure map with the destination torn off and missing. Your heart starts to race because you know there is treasure somewhere, but you just cannot find it! Accident or not, it's outstanding!
