About this time two years ago Ondine died.. from a batch of Bad Heroin.. I feel bad she never got to see the images from the shoot we had done just a few weeks before her death. While I only knew her for an afternoon.. I am missing her today.

Drugs Kill.. everyone.

This is my favourite of yours. Love everything about this pic. She is quite magnificent. What a tragic loss. She should have been a happy person.

She is absolutely beautiful.

Tragic under any circumstances, and this just highlights one of the many reasons why. Thank you for sharing.

Perry, I love the tone and soft lighting. It is at once crisp yet effemeral. The pose open yet she has an aloofness. I see the tight crop as pulling the viewer into her adding to the intimacy. It is a shame that she will not know how you saw her and the response from the countless fans she could have had. Did her passing cause you to change the manner in which you presented the image in any way? I would think that each of us sees our model in light of our relationship with her or him. However long or short that might have been.

Wonderful image. The distance in her gaze has an added poignancy with the tragedy of the circumstances surrounding the photo. Thank you for sharing both the image and the story.

just a little side note: this is a beautiful tribute to her, and I know that many have said this before, many will say it again, but I can't help reading in the comments, all the negative towards drugs. All I can say on this is. As a recovering addict myself, please don't judge to harshly folks, it's easy to get sucked in, it's not so easy to get out, and it's a daily fight to stay away, some of us win our fight, unfortunately some do not. It's sad that some one so beautiful lost her fight.

Such a beautiful woman showing such grace and poise, yet such deeply misunderstood humanity beneath all of it. For everything that humans experience, nothing is more intimate and more incredible than self. The lighting provides a background for the figure within while the shadows seem to speak to all her wiles... The world will miss Ondine's incredible bravery and wonderful femininity to something so unforgiving and painful. Thank you Perry for sharing with us this moment of true comfort and relaxation in her life. May Ondine rest within the halls of eternal paradise forever.

how something so beautiful and strong looking could have so much internal conflict that she resulted to using drugs. But people need to see it's not a waste it's a reminder to hold on to the beautiful thing you have in life or life will take them. She was so beautiful.

Wow....

When i first looked at the shot i saw an open, experimental yet somewhat troubled woman by her expression before i even read the story.
In this photo you have captured just about every inch of her beauty and soul at the time.

Beautiful, Perfectly timed shot.

All the best

Plus I have a feeling that she has a Beautiful smile :D

Beautiful girl, great image, tragic story :-(

Drugs are indiscriminate sometimes robbing us of the good and the beautiful. Some of these young and not so young people might have been great assets to humankind and the world had their lights not been snuffed out. And all to make evil and selfish people wealthy.

It really is time for change.

It deeply saddens me that such a beautiful woman is dead. And by her own accord no less. However your photograph will show the better side of her forever. And for that I thank you.

That's truly sad, dying needlessly due to an OD. At least you can take comfort in this beautiful photo you took of her, it may be erotic in its essence but you've been able to capture her true emotion in her gaze.

To me, I interpret her gaze as a deep sadness, she is longing for something. Perhaps a solution to her problems that we are not privy to? I think this photo is a testament to the person that was your model. You did a great job.

God bless her soul.

really sad.funny, before I read your comment,I was looking at her expression and it struck me as "lonely"(that's the only way I can think of to express it).
great work by the way.I joined to see work of a friend of a friend, and happened on your gallery.don't know how you do it,but you seem to make even the background come alive.
